## Revision as of 21:33, 25 February 2006

To find how much experience you'll need before level 'x', take the ratio between your desired level and your current level and square it. Multiply that by your current XP and you'll have a good estimate of how much (total) XP you'll need for your desired level. For instance, if you're at level 80 Human Nomad (556907 XP) and you want to figure out how much XP you'll need for level 100:

```(DESIRED LEVEL / CURRENT LEVEL)^2 * CURRENT XP = PROJECTED XP
```
```(100 / 80)^2 * 556907 = 870167.1875
```

The actual figure needed for level 100 Human Nomad is 872326, so the estimate is extremely close. The general rule for the inverse case, finding how many levels a given amount of XP will give, is:

```(DESIRED XP / CURRENT XP)^1/2  * CURRENT LEVEL = PROJECTED LEVEL
```
```(870167 / 556907)^1/2 * 80 = 100.6
```

^2 means to square the number; ^1/2 means to take its square root.

You can do estimates for other races and guilds as well if you use the figures from this page: http://www.sjw.id.au/mordor/exp.html and multiply and/or divide by the appropriate figures when converting from one race to another or one guild to another.
