Well, I checked last night, and yes, it was a cross of redemption. But when I picked it up my character only recognised it as a silver cross. Compared to you guys my poor character is still a baby (at level 40). I have only just started exploring dungeon level 3. blush2.gif
Ah, well... I'll get there soon enough.

I just wanna say Thanx to you guys. You're all very helpfull and friendly! It's great!
Braindead Thanx! I adore this site and I am so glad I found it!

As far as I know, you cannot 'misidentify' things. 'Underidentifying' is something else however, especially combined with enthusiasm for finding something new.

@Nappa - you are correct, you won't mis-id items..under-id only...monsters on the other hand you can mis-id. So it must have been "cross" if I had to guess...

Oh that reminds me, I saw another Phoenix, too. happy.gif

I've found alot of new stuff lately, and I can only attribute it to my new strategy of clearing out a level, then leaving my party down there and shutting down, and then coming back in a few hours and clearing it out again.

Nothing about that method is indicated in the Item Generation Formula from the Wiki page; maybe it just means I have been playing twice as much.

So am I to understand you've found everything? ranting.gif

Your new strategy at the very least indicates you're wasting less time on levels which don't have any new items for you to find. Aren't you pinning a lot, though?

I found this today...

Has anyone else seen one?

http://img228.imageshack.us/my.php?image=4j6tw8pv.jpg][IMG]http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/9325/4j6tw8pv.th.jpg

It certainly surprised me somewhat...

I have found them, still haven't figured out what to do with them...I assume they are an homage to D&D personally...

No no no! There are still two items in the dungeon I have not found!

I was afraid my new signature might cause confusion. The red 331 / 397 are my Library entries for items / monsters, but two of the items are the quirk additions I discovered.

Staying in the dungeon for two rounds of clearing does mean alot more xp, but I think this is where a 4th party member comes in handy. My main group of 4 has about 980,000 xp worth of exploring they can do before pinning completely -- that's when I can send them all out at fresh new levels, of course. Usually the Warrior of the group does pin quickly; then I drop him to the back and set his option to defend so the others can grab all the experience.

By the way Mongo, thanks for the kudos.

Ah, I thought you'd use the 329(+2) / 397 format. And congrats on the Gloves. But don't find the last two items before I find my Hammer. bleh.gif

I have a sorta-theory that maybe a T'Mana could show up as a companion to an Iron Bear or T'Lanea... T'Butus seem to show up as companions only, so maybe a T'Mana will pop in there instead of them one day.

Wishful thinking. biggrin.gif

Yeah, right. And the T'Mana will be holding The Hammer.

Could the hammer be bugged? Is there any record of anyone finding it?

I've heard several claim that they've found the Hammer, which would suggest it ought to be less rare than the Hands or Gloves, but... dntknw.gif

Hey!
I know this i sprobably totally off the beaten track, but how do you create a party of characters. dntknw.gif
I'm still kinda dumb and I'm struggling with my lonely human character.

You create a second character, then when the two are in the same room, or in town, you can ask to join (press the 'a' key). For ease of play, you should try to find the key that switches character, 'n' on some keyboards, '.' on mine.

Also, when you click on Exit, you'll be asked if you want to keep characters in the same party. If you select 'yes' they'll be loaded as a party the next time you play.

About the Hammer, I've always wondered if the people who say they have found it found Landria's Hammer and thought it was the Hammer of O'Landra, I've gotten hammers on several occasions from both Charon and a Gorgon and it is always a Dwarven Hammer...and Grog and Nudi have both played way more than I, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was buggy....

So if anyone has a library entry for the Hammer please speak up..... whistling.gif

Grmblll. Congrats, I suppose. *Is green with envy*

As for the Hammer, I have changed Kobolds to drop it "specifically", as the game jargon goes, and sure enough, I have gotten a few. However that doesn't mean you can get it in normal conditions; knowing Mordor it's entirely possible the game is bugged in such a way as to never spawn it "spontaneously".
