I just checked and the cookie settings are site wide so it should be good.
Sorry for those who have to relogin, browsing with chrome and remembering your password there can be an option to alleviate the pain. smile.gif

The site related forum is for site announcements, not for site issues experienced by users. smile.gif

I actually have a security certificate, so I could move the site to https. Not sure when I'll have the time or feeling to do this, but I've made a note in the back of my mind. smile.gif

the logout error is probably due to the fact that I'm missing 2 tables in the database (got an error on restoring them previous time my host moved servers a few months ago), sorry about the fact you have to re-login, haven't found the time to fix it yet.

site down error from yesterday was due to my host moving me to another server without knowing me about it (again) ... got it fixed once the nameservers were pointing to the new Ip-address.
Complained to my host that they should notify me if they need to move the box, hopefully it helps. wink.gif

wiki integration kinda works again, you should be able to login and edit, but it displays some warnings...

noticed today that my host moved the mordor site to a new server.... without notifying me...

only 50 of the about 204 database tables got moved... sigh... of course nothing worked. luckily I spotted it in time so that I could fetch the data from the old server.

Wiki integration currently does not currently work, I disabled it, currently it displays some errors, but at least the existing content should be somewhat readable. Not sure when I'll find the time to fix it properly, but I should get around it sooner or later... and when something is not working as it should, maybe you can play some Mordor in the mean time... wink.gif

If you notice something else that is wrong you can post it in this topic.

after mordor 2 v98 they switched to a 3d engine, that's one of the reasons why the patch won't work for that version.

got the wiki more or less back to a working state, spam is still there atm, but power users should now be able to delete again.
probably should update mediawiki to a newer version as well, but that'll be for a later date...

(hopefully new spam stays out now as the verification is back against the forum user database now)

temporarily disabled the ipbwiki plugin, seems the php version no longer supports some features that that plugin was using

so it looks kinda odd at the moment, but at least it shows something smile.gif

the problem with the map file is that it's completely different as it stores a 3d dungeon smile.gif

I think only MicroFx editor can edit some things of the .992 version.

My hosting company terminated my hosting account by mistake (they blame it on their billing software and said sorry, *sigh*). Luckily I still had a backup of the sites. However the most recent backup was from 28/12 last year,...

So if you made a post during the last month and you wonder why your post isn't here now, blame it on my hosting company...

cool smile.gif

maybe you should upload your mdata11.mdr file in the download system here too? it's a far more stable hosting resource for files than these free services and when I take a backup (very occasionaly) these extra resources are also backed up with it then. smile.gif

the download system can be found here: http://dejenol.com/forum/index.php?automodule=downloads

open sourcing is out of the question as it's not conform the agreement with Decklin.

the game runs quite well, but there are some open bugs and some features that need to be added prior to a possible release.

a small status update of things that have been done in the past month on the project:
* I've set up a new svn repository, so that we don't have the login issues and other problems anymore that we experienced at the previous host that we used.
* once peterg70 gets vb back up and running we should be good to go again on the remaining programming tasks.

the robots.txt was actually a remainder of the search-engine friendly topic names (rewrite rules), since i disabled that mod, the robots.txt should be reverted as well. fixed smile.gif

temporarily disabled the hooks that are called before and after editing the article, it'll cause that there's no rating and that when editing the article the emo's are displayed oddly but for the rest it should work fine... smile.gif

for v.98 you can use the microfx editor to modify the datafiles http://dejenol.com/forum/index.php?automod...amp;showfile=59 and with my editor you can edit the maps
