You're new here, or just want to say hi? This is the thread to post it in wink.gif

Here's how I got into Mordor:
Back in uni-days I was browsing the internet daily to get the latest shareware and freeware games. One of those days I stumbled upon the Mordor Shareware Beta, it must have been '93 or '94, and played the shareware version several years until I stumbled upon a full version. I typically play the game for a month and then stop looking at it for several months as I get bored of playing it, but somehow there's always something which draws me back to the game to continue building my characters (which I leveled for far too long in nomad so I still have lousy hitpoints since I'm nowhere near an optimal HP-route. Oh well... wink.gif )

Same old Taffer.

Found Mordor on "Galaxy of Games" back years ago and had it on our old computer. Got around to putting GoG on our "new" computer after a while, and started playing Mordor again. Wouldn't have ever joined Slimey's message board if it weren't for wondering why Dalyn had so many items named after him.

My name is AJ and I'm trying very hard to get readdicted to Mordor. So far, my 12-step programme hasn't quite worked out, though... unsure.gif

Hi, I'm aardless. I dropped the 'gs' part tongue.gif . This is my third n00b post in the Mordor forums in six months rolleyes.gif . I got the demo on a magazine CD around 1997-8. I then forgot it until I stumbled on Slimey site, last December.

Hi, I'm Cowboy (aka Grandad)

I found the shareware version online back around 94-95 and loved it, years later I stumbled on the full version and got addicted again. My third bout of addiction got me looking for a website related to it, which is how I found Slimey's.

welp I am Necromis AKA DOM, but alas I couldn't get my work email to work on validation. Anywho, I actually have not started my trek down into the depths of Morodor yet. I am a Demise player, and so I guess I am playing the sequal to this. I got introduced to Mordor thru BD's posts on the Pharaoh and Decklin boards.

you know, i'm mostly replying here cause i don't know of another way to get e-mail notification of the topic.

but i played ages ago, back when i was in middle/high school, then found slimeys site after Anthus showed me, and got the full version. i only play sporadically, due to having gotten married and being in the process of buying a house.

I also found the shareware version on a Galaxy Of Games CD-rom (I think it was that, anyway) around 1996, started playing, got the hang of it all, and then one day after I'd been playing and playing, I found a stairway, pressed "take" and got a message "you cannot go to this level in the shareware version". So, of course, I had to purchase the full version.

(And I'm not exactly a baby compared to Cowboy, but glad not to have to be "Grandma" any more).
