As You see the graphics are refreshed , kinda thought we could put em in MordorXP aswell so people recognize their classic foes. I do make a long playable demo of mordor 95 now cause i cant wait for mordorxp.
*

Ah, right. Sorry, I'm not that familiar with Mordor 2, so I wouldn't know what the graphics normally look like. As you can see from the progress updates Crusher has been posting, though, the graphics for MXP look different already.wink.gif

Sorry, could you explain what you mean a bit more clearly, perhaps? I for one have no idea what you're talking about... And what do those Mordor 2 screenshots have to do with Mordor XP?huh.gif

Yes. If I remember correctly, with very old characters there's a risk that they spontaneously die. They also have an increased risk of having raising complications.

QUOTE (Walky @ Apr 24 2007, 07:07 AM)
Actually: If you don't buy a new computer, there is no reason to update to vista. It might be nice to look at, but this comes at quite a cost of performance and size. For older computers this will slow them down extremely.

(Actually I'm asking myself why new systems always get bigger and slower. IMO ADVANCING a system would make it faster. not slower...)

Ah, but that would be common sense. Microsoft logic has very little to do with common sense, which is why clicking on a button labelled 'start' to shut down your computer makes perfect sense to them, apparently...rolleyes.gif

From what I've seen of Vista, all it does is offer lots of shiny extras I don't actually want or need, and I was quite annoyed when I heard Microsoft had announced they'll stop supporting XP in 2008. So for the first time I'm actually seriously considering taking the plunge and switching to Linux - but that would mean no more Mordor, right?sad.gif

Yup, on ME. I expect it'll work on any Windows OS, after all we're using VB. Would be odd if M$ didn't support their own software on all OSes.

Yes, it would be odd, but would it be a surprise?tongue.gif

Just take your time reading through things on this forum, Gigo. Most of the questions you're likely to have about the project will probably be answered there.wink.gif

Oh, and welcome, by the way.wave.gif

As it's a demo, I doubt it would have been removed intentionally. Perhaps it somehow got lost with the server move?dntknw.gif

Uh, no, a Realtek device. Realtek is a hardware manifacturer. For example I have a realtek audio card on my motherboard. And I guess I won't be making any Windows update for a few days. tongue.gif

Ahem.rolleyes.gif Yes, you're right. Must be my soundcard, then, but I haven't actually noticed anything wrong with the sound...

Ouch, errors after updates are bad news. It would seem you have a Realtek sound card or other hardware, and it's loading in memory where it shouldn't, at least not after the update.

I suppose that would be RealPlayer, because that's needed to watch the videos on the BBC news website.dntknw.gif

QUOTE
HHctrl.ocx is a thing for html help, not critical I would say. OTOH user32.dll is useful, and rthdcpl.exe is necessary for running the Realtek hardware. It all boils down to which one of those you need more, I guess.
You may want to run an antivirus, btw, as this site claims  RTHDCPL.EXE is a "threat". I don't know how serious that site is, though, other similar sites claim it's just a necessary file for running Realtek stuff. dntknw.gif

I already did, but for what it's worth, AVG didn't pick up anything.

QUOTE
It may be a good strategy to disable automatic updates, and update manually every one-two months, that way you should be able to avoid most not totally finalised updates.

Actually I did two updates yesterday (after four weeks of not having this computer connected to the internet at all), and it was only the second one which caused problems. Couldn't the same sort of thing still happen if I did manual updates every month, then?

OK, this is a bit of a stupid problem, but my computer did another one of those automatic Windows updates yesterday, and since then I've been getting this error message whenever I start my computer. Is there a simple way of fixing this or will I just have to put up with it?unsure.gif

by accdent.

and alot of my posts wernt useless  they were questions i couldent figure out and i
thought u knew. i also  was stating m1.1 works on vista so no1 has to buy the game and find out the hard way

and im sick of being critisiced for not being perfect

im trying not to get upset here  its that i feel horible about my self when i dont do things right that people want. sad.gif

i just hope u guys understand
*

No, to be quite honest I don't understand. As far as I can see no-one has been criticising you or called your posts useless, although, no offence, your spelling is horrific and you may want to work on that in the long run (for your own benefit, that is, not that of some people on an internet forum).
So what exactly are you making such a fuss about, then? Relax. There's no need to feel horrible and no need to make "important statements". No-one's expecting you to do anything; primarily you're here in order to enjoy yourself (as far as forum rules and general courtesy permit, obviously). If you want to contribute, do so by all means, and if you think you'd rather not, then don't. Just don't contribute in order to be flooded with grateful replies, because in 99% of cases that sort of thing probably won't happen, unless you made an *immensely* useful post that changes the world of Mordor as we know it (discovering a use for Dalyn's Smile, figuring out how to kill Mind Twisters without using companions, that sort of thing). That's just the way it is. So either get used to helping people out without them showing gratitude in return or just don't help them. dntknw.gif

Hey,
You're not the first person to ask this, but unfortunately a full version of Mordor 2 doesn't exist. Honestly.
