would you begrudge mordor an extra thousand million clock cycles?

and if the system is fast enough then it shouldn't spend long on the task especially if it's constant.

@gutsy: imo, MSN causes more performance issues than any other program - that runs and my system becomes a little more active than it has been - it sits using 30MB of RAM when you're not even signed in, and (same goes for, but worse with windows live) has bad graphics performance - resizing it is hell
maybe it's a feature of microsoft products (bar windows, i like that) - they all expand to fill CPU/RAM beyond acceptable levels

like i care...2 GHz and 768MB - does it show that i don't do serious gaming?

instructions:

char A = target of funding
char B = newly created source of funding (any char/stats)
char A trades with char B
char A gives char B -xxxx gold where xxxx is the amount desired
char B is bankrupt, char A is rich

and yes you can repeat this with the same, already out of gold character

well, if anything holds this project up, it'll be me.
standard thing from unreliable pre-undergraduates though (or is it just me that can't keep time to save himself?)

thing is, without me there's no map, or the all-importantly-demanded editor for those people who get stuck.
and with me, there's 700-odd spam posts and a horde of bad jokes and inefficient programming.

items go with you anyway - for example - as you gain levels, you gain A/D and the damage modifier has more effect

i spent a whole 3 minutes on that one word: it's "newsers" for a reason.
although maybe it only makes sense to me - so it's supposed to be a concatenation of new and users - arriving at newsers.
i do that sometimes with variable names while programming.

looks to me like people who don't have Visual Studio or some sort of dev. tool installed have problems with this.
i have a folder on my HD where i keep a few files like this - the VB3 and 4 runtimes, and something called threed.vbx (?)
as for tabctl32.ocx, i could make a program to install it - i did something like that before, it installs MMCTL32.OCX or some file like that, for playing sounds.

rally the troops - we'll remove the spell checker.
to be honest, i am my own spell checker - even at 3am i can pick up a grammatical error on IM

edit: oh yeah, welcome all newsers.

and if all else fails, consult the manual.
which naturally is written in Japanese

thats why the only chute on level 1 was miles from anywhere that n00bs reach, and the teleporters go somewhere on level 1

and besides, if you die you die. you can't go living life without being dead a few times...

why not use the table value as the upperlimit of the random bonus...say

bonus = random from 0 to (con bonus from table * 1.8)

so you can get anything from 0 to almost double your con bonus...

perhaps we should add some code to the index page of the site

if (n00b) {document.location="helpfile"}

everything anyone could ever want is in there...besides the ultimate way to kill Asmo

that would be simple enough
all we need is 2 bitmaps of signs, with some default text/hieroglyphics on them (should've used "symbols" instead, eh)
without getting into the programming of it, it wouldn't require too much i don't think
