You'd have to blame Necromis' for that, he also registered a DOM-user which I had to remove of course since you can't have 2 accounts smile.gif

But welcome back to the forum wink.gif

well actually you can blame my IT dept at work. Not letting the email come thru to confirm my acct. So I had to go off site to an Internet Email acct. D O M got registered, and then changed to Necromis, and the other Necromis deleted. Sowwy guys, I will hire BL to go assassinate my IT people. diablo.gif

Hey i'm new in the forum but not new to Mordor. This game rocks. Much like Braindead, I was on AOL in middle school looking for shareware games and stumbled across Mordor. Eventually I found the full version. Since then I play off and on, a month of obsession and then a long time of hiatus. And now I'm in college and Mordor is still by far the best game I've ever played.

Another forum newbie checking in here. I stumbled across the shareware version of Mordor a few months ago on a games collection CD. My dad (who is retired) actually found it and showed it to me. I found the gameplay to be utterly addictive, to say the least.

When my party got pretty good at cleaning out level 3, I went online to find out where to get the full version. In the process I stumbled across this forum. biggrin.gif

I've read through most of the past threads, so hopefully I won't ask too many questions that have been answered over and over again. For example, thanks to this forum I've figured out why I can't kill Lynch Demons, and whether or not there is a level 16. dry.gif

The first characters I created are designed pretty hopelessly. I'm currently working on a Giant Warrior (who will become a Nomad/Warrior/Seeker) and an Osiri Nomad (who will become a Thief/Healer). Both of them are about level 20 at the moment and running around level 3 with occasional short trips to level 4. The deepest I've been with my other chars is level 5.

A lot of it comes down to stats and equipment. Guaranteed my human all-rounder wouldn't have survived so easily if he didn't have a steel dagger for most of his life (he's a legacy character, so..)

Ah finally, After getting a loaner computer and after multiple attempts at registering on the boards I finally make it. biggrin.gif

Avatar is temporary until I find a suitable sorceress one. wink.gif

(Incidentally the little ? marks to help you register didn't give you any information when you clicked on them)

My party will have to be recreated as I think I lost them when I took my computer in to be reloaded.

frupton, for my three character party I use the rule of thumb of dividing the highest guild level by ten, to have a rough idea of what dungeon level they can handle. So I think that it's a tad too early for level 4, but if you disagree, by all means, go there.

Yeah, I'm probably a bit out of my league on level 4. I think I mentioned that I ran into leeches once and got decimated. Other than that i don't seem to be at risk of dying much, but I also have gotten drained a few times, which is unpleasant. I probably should discipline myself to stay on level 2-3. but I'm terribly impatient to find out what's in the deeper levels. smile.gif

Thanks all for the good advice.

Welcome to the forum Beba biggrin.gif

Frupton, there's nothing wrong ig going down early. Just , be prepared for BAD consequences if you meet the wrong monsters ....
If I were you I'd play more carefully for a while.. until you have some decent speels at least (the resist spells.. some healing spells... maybe some attack spells)
