Well... it's done. It was a surprise, to be sure, but it's done.

https://youtu.be/s9ZFs9KN2hQ

I was just grinding along, poking my head down to 15 while playing D&D with my friends online (I did grinding between turns so I had something to occupy my time as we were in a big fight with a lot of individuals who needed a lot of time to take their moves). I decided to start clearing things out, and what to my surprise did I find?

Why, ASMODEUS, of course!
I got hit for a full round of combat, like 700+ hits, so I ran up to town, turned on my recording, switched to Paladin gear, then went back down. Then in the fight itself, I got the drop on him (thanks Cap of Death), and killed him in 2 rounds. Must have gotten REALLY lucky rolls. Especially lucky even more so because all he did was cast Electric Field round 1, then Word of Death round 2. I took less than 90 hits during that entire fight, and wasn't aged at all!

(also I found some Dragon's Blood from a master swordsman earlier that day so it was just a really good day for Mordor I guess).

So with that done... is that the end for Gil'Thrialle? What is there left to do? I mean, I could definitely keep grinding up my Sorcerer to max spell level. I could go on a quest to kill all monsters and find all items. But right now, I think I'm at a good point. Maybe in the future I'll come back to her, or maybe when I'm bored I'll poke around a bit, but I think this is a satisfactory way to finish things off.

As for what else I'm doing with Mordor, well, after I take a break, I'm considering coming back with a party this time. Maybe a party of 3. I'm thinking having a legacy party of single-class characters (after Nomad 30, of course). Warrior and Thief, definitely, but I kind of want to have a Healer as well...

What were Gil'Thrialle's guild levels in the end?

Nope, all solo. I probably should have, but luck carried the day and I didn't end up getting hit.

Fantastic! i'll watch it tonight and comment more.

Ok. So cool.

Maybe silly to ask, but has anyone ever won with a solo character?

Anyway, it's fun to create power characters to follow your legacy player.

Hey there Grog,

There are a few recorded instances of people winning with solo characters, but it appears to be an extremely long grind compared to winning the game with a full party of four. It's definitely possible though if you have the patience and commitment for it.
